Gold and Three Pearl Ring, Antique.

Such a pretty ring - three small genuine pearls mounted diagonally across the face of the ring - all mounted in 9ct yellow gold. Three-stone rings are often referred to as trilogy rings - the centre pearl is slightly larger than the two flanking pearls. The symbolism is "Past, Present, and Future".  Ring has a bevelled band, the hallmark is rubbed, with only traces remaining, but the gold has been tested at 15 ct. (possibly 14ct) - dating it to early 20th century. Rings with sentimental messages were very popular in Victorian times to 1930s.  Face of ring measures 11.5 mm by 8 mm  Ring fitting is NZ/UK size L+ (USA size 5.3/4) with an internal diameter of approx. 16.3 mm.
