Small brooch, beaten metal -  either silver or pewter - in a round shield shape with six little stud ornamentations. The centre is a green ceramic cushion-shaped disc. It has all the character, age and style of a brooch by Ruskin, but no maker's marks. The rear has some scratches in the patination, otherwise it is in very good original condition. It would date early 1900s, and measures 3.18cm diameter.
