Sterling silver snap bangle with British hallmarks on both pieces for Birmingham 1882. Engraved acanthus scrolls to the face of the bangle, with plain rear. It has a decorative row of little silver balls in the Etruscan manner, along the top and bottom of the face. It has loops for a safety chain, but one is not fitted. (A jeweller could supply one if needed). Bracelet measures 12 mm high for the rear, and 15 mm high at the face, The internal measurements are 57 mm wide and 48 mm deep. Very minor and very, very shallow impressions to the rear - in lovely condition all round.  Many of this type of bracelet were copied in the 1960s, and it is rare to see a genuine Victorian example.
