Small Mediterranean coral brooch, dating from early 1800s to 1850s plus.  The pin on the brooch is typical of the 19th century, it has a C clasp, and the pin itself extends beyond the brooch body. Apparently, they would tuck an extra bit of fabric on the extended pin as a safety measure. It has a later added safety chain, which is removable, The rear of the brooch is 9ct rose gold. Brooch measures 2.135 cm wide (not counting the pin) and 1.727cm high.  Slight bow in the rear pin. Brooch itself is in very good condition.
