Georgian Decanter, Very Heavy.

Large heavy lead crystal decanter, dating from early half of 1800s. It has greyish tinge to the glass, slice-lobed shoulders, a ring neck and starburst pattern under the base. The base shows good age wear, and so does the inside of the neck.The stopper is a ring-in, not the original which probably should have been a nice wide mallet stopper. Item measures (including the stopper) 30 cm and is it 11.1 cm diameter at its widest point. Excellent condition. The stopper is a little too narrow in the neck diameter, and would date from the Edwardian period.
