Fashion Print from 1860, Victorian Fashions.

Hand tinted fashion print, dated December 1860 - it shows  the height of ladies' fashion in this period of the Victorian era. The title is The title is  "Le Monde Elégant". Elaborate silk evening gowns  with floral decoration, lace and off-the-shoulder gowns. Also shows a child in a coat. Framed with a pinky-beige mount and bevelled gold -coloured frame. Measurements, framed: 36 cm H by 28.5 cm W. Some foxing over the title area, and transference around the edge of the mat (often called "burn"), but very good to the actual illustration. Plate area is 24 cm by 17 cm.This item has been photographed through glass, so any flares or white streaks are reflections.
