From a painting by Paul von Deschwanden, this antique print is titled “Pater in Manus Tuas Commendo Spiritum Meum”  or Father, into your hands I commend my spirit, which are the words that Christ spoke from the Cross. Plain bevelled wooden frame. The image is a little unevenly cropped - possible it would be better in a narrower frame, or maybe a larger frame with a mount.  Von Deschwanden was a well known Victorian-period Swiss painter. The attribution reads Paul Deschwanden pinx.  Item in frame measures 31 cm by 21 cm. Very good condition apart from the amateur cropping.
