Beautifully detailed Sadeli card case, with micro mosaics, ebony, ivory and sandalwood details. Pull-off lid, with wooden interior. Sadeli is a decorative technique, a form of marquetry, primarily associated with Surat in Gujarat, India - Persian Khartam work is said to be the original of this style of intricate marquetry. Case measures 9.3 cm by 7.3 cm, and 10.45 cm thick. Excellent condition.
