Pair Victorian Porcelain Menu Boards.

  • NZ$16500

Pretty china menu boards with ribbon decoration at top. The face of the board is slightly matt glaze, and you can write in pencil on this. One at each end of the dining table with the meal's menu on each. They each have a full British 19th century registration mark for 1875. Impressed maker's mark on rear, too faint to read, but probably Mintons. Each board measures 13.5 cm high and about 10 cm wide. They have fixed easel legs to the rear. Excellent condition with just a few rubs to the paint colours. One has firing specks in the rear. Very unusual and quite rare to see them from the Victorian period.
