Old Bottle Cork Holder, Figure Playing Flute.

Figural bottle stopper - this would have once had a cork fitted underneath. Made in a silver metal - probably silver plate. Quite heavy for its size, so is a solid cast. The figure is a lad in what appears to be lederhosen, sitting on a tree stump, playing a flute. Whole item measures 6.2 cm high. The cavity for the cork is 1.92 cm diameter internal . This item is probably German, and would date early to mid 20th century. Very good condition. Would make a decorative figurine.
