Modern Real Elytra Beetle Brooch, Plated.

Elytra brooch heavily plated in rhodium gold plate, with iridescent wings and head. A line of crystals down its back and shoulders, set into a gold plated band. This is a real insect, dipped in gold, and made into a brooch. They come from Thailand, where the beetles die off after the monsoon. Measures 4.5 cm long by 2.5 cm wide.  Excellent pre-owned condition.
