Late Victorian/Edwardian Bar Brooch, Gold and Garnet.

This is one of the best of this type of antique bar brooch that I have come across. Made in 9ct yellow gold, it has ornate finials to either side, and a centrally mounted 6 branched star, set with a garnet to the centre, with each arm of the star mounted with 2 graduated seed pearls.  The garnet measures  just under 5 mm diameter. A very beautiful brooch, dating from late 1800s to the start of the Edwardian period, circa 1901.
Brooch measures 54 mm wide with the star being 21 mm high. Excellent condition.  TW: 3.9g.
