Large Antique Japanese Photo Frame.

Ornate Japanese spelter photo frame, late 1800s. The frame has a moulded bamboo and dragon design, with the large dragon circling the frame. Easel back - although the ribbon securing the leg is missing - easy to fix - cut a new piece of ribbon and glue one end to the leg, and the other to the rear of the frame backing. Currently in the frame, there is an interesting photo of a young child seated in a wicker chair - but easily removed and your own photo put in. Frame measures 25.5 cm high by 18.5 cm wide. The spelter is in very good condition, and overall this is a beautiful frame.  (Spelter is a zinc and lead alloy, popular in the 19th and early 20th centuries)
