Pretty mauve/blue stone to this ring - previous owner thought it may be tanzanite, but it tests as Iolite, which is such a pretty colour, a real purpley blue. The central round stone is flanked by a diamond on each side. The gold is 9ct yellow gold, stamped 9ct inside the band. Very dainty ring - face of ring measures 11.5 mm wide by 6 mm. Band is 3 mm wide at the shoulders, tapering to the standard 2 mm at the rear of the finger.  The diamonds are approx. 2.5 mm diameter each, and the iolite is approx. 4.15 mm by 3.66 mm. Ring fitting is NZ/UK size S (USA size  9.1/4) with an internal diameter of 19.2 mm.  Excellent as new condition - doesn't look as if it has been worn.
