Swirl pattern, round, antique, Victorian era brooch, late 1800s. Central white agate surmounted with silver and black enamel star - star has a central clear white stone. The clasp is a large C clasp in gold, very good quality. Not hallmarked, but tests as 14 carat gold, so could be European or North American. There is a little loop to the top edge, so you could have a safety chain connected. Measures 35.4 cm diameter. There is a tiny minor crumple to the edge, and a tiny tear where the edge meets the backing plate. Not noticeable when being worn. Otherwise very good condition.  TW: 9.1g.
