Four Piece Silver Plate Edwardian Tea Service.

Antique service which includes a spirit kettle on stand. Very good quality silver plate by Walker & Hall, Sheffield, England. Typical Edwardian period (circa 1901-1910) design of swagged foliage and diaper patterns. Cock-beaded edges to all pieces. The spirit kettle has a detachable stand, with spirit burner and tilt facility - you take out the hinge fastener at the rear of the kettle, and it hinges forward on the front hinge, so you can pour hot water into the teapot. Ornate designs, and the remains of gilding inside the loaf sugar bowl and cream jug. Spirit kettle and stand measure 34 cm high by 23.5 cm wide plus the feet  and 16 cm deep plus the feet. Lid hinges sideways. Heat escape holes on the handles.  Teapot is 28 cm wide, 16.5 cm high and 12 cm deep. Large handled bowl for loaf sugar, is 22.5 cm wide, 11.25 cm high and 10 cm deep. Creamer is 14.5 cm wide, 11 cm high at the handle, and 7 cm deep. All pieces have shield panels on which to have your initials engraved. On each piece, one shield is empty, and one has the entwined initials MAW engraved on flowing script. All items are in excellent condition.
