Beautiful estate ring - a central ruby with 5 diamonds to either side. The mount is handmade in 18ct yellow and white gold. Stamped: 18ct A. & C.". The natural ruby is grain-set, round mixed cut, approx. 3.0 mm x 1.7 mm insize, estimated at 0.11 carats in weight. It is medium purplish red in colour nd of good colour quality. It has small minor abrasions on the table edge of the stone, viewable under magnification. This is commensurate with age and being worn. The natural diamonds are set as two small diamonds on each side of a larger stone, on each side of the ruby. The larger ones are approx. 3.0 mm in size, and the smaller ones are 1.4-1.5 mm in size. They are total 0.29 carats in total, and are of various cuts. Attractive yellow gold scroll patterns to the sides of the mount. Ring face measures approx. 19 mm across and 4.5 mm down. Ring fitting is NZ/UK size N (USA size 6.1/2) with an internal diameter of 17.2 mm. Very good condition. This is a lovely ring, and could be used alone, or as a stacking ring, or with a wedding ring.
