Drop Earrings, Silver, Pearl and Paua Shell.

Round discs of sterling silver-mounted paua shell topped by a small mabé bluster pearl. Hallmarked 925 to the rear. Paua is the New Zealand version of abalone - it has more intense colours and iridescence than abalone, coming from mostly colder water. Round area is 1.4 cm diameter. Drop from the ear is 4 cm. These are new “old stock” from when we moved, and have never been worn.
