Carlton Ware Lidded Honey or Jam Pot.

Pretty Carlton Ware pot, mould number 2172, with raised pattern of peonies on a duck-egg blue ground. Finial on lid is a bud. Slight honeycomb pattern to base and around lid, so was originally intended as a honey pot. Measures about 10.8 cm high and 8.5 cm diameter.  Made in England, with Australian design registration applied for (so that Carlton Ware could market the item in Australia).  The mark is for the period 1925 to 1958, when Wiltshaw & Robinson owned Carlton Ware, before it was sold in 1958. Item is in excellent condition.
