Antique Ruby and Pearl Gold Ring.

9ct gold ring, with hallmarks for Birmingham (England) 1886. Two small square cushion-cut rubies, with a central round faceted ruby, spaced on each sides by a small approx. 3mm diameter pearl.  Engraved pattern to the shoulders. Bevelled band. Ring size is NZ/UK size N (USA size 6.1/2) with an internal diameter of 1.692 cm.  Face of ring measures 1.5 cm across by 0.06 cm.  This ring has had several repairs over the past 140 years. It has what is probably a sizing mark below one shoulder, and a metal repair under one side of the face (on a panel, not the actual face). One pearl has lost some nacre, the other appears to be OK. Central ruby and one side ruby have wear to the facet edges. The other side ruby has been replaced, is in very good condition, but is slightly more red than the others. At this age, wear is inevitable with usage. This is a charming ring, and some-one previously has loved and worn it.  TW incl. stones is 1.8g.
