Bees in Amber is “A little Book of Thoughtful Verse by John Oxenham”, published 1917 (second Edition) by Methuen & Co Ltd, London. John Oxenham wrote many novels. Pretty flyleaf and following double page of bee illustrations. Dust cover (a little scruffy) with original cover underneath which is in very good condition.
A little insect damage to the bee pages and to the end two pages of the verses.

Sunday Well Spent is a faded, pretty book with embossed hard cover , gold leaf title and an illustration. Author is Mrs. Upcher Cousens. Published by Dean & Son, London. A novel, centred around Christian themes. Not dated, but looks mid to late 1800s. 16 cm by 10.5 cm by 1.35 cm thick. Faded cover, some stains inside, age wear.
Elizabeth or the Exiles of Siberia: Attractive embossed cover with illustration. Gold leaf to title on spine. Dedication inside with date of 1867. Titled “A Tale, from the French of Madame Cottin”. Published in Edinburgh by William P. Nimmo. Some foxing throughout, and looseness to spine. 17cm by 11.5 cm by 1.5 cm thick.
