Antique German Silver Individual Punch Spoon.
Sterling silver tea punch spoon, with embossed design of fish-wife with her baskets of fish and the ocean with boat in the background. Three masted ship forms the finial. Hanau (Germany) silver, with mark of the Neresheimer or Nuremburg "N" - B. Neresheimer & Sohne were prominent Hanau silversmiths. It also has the English import marks for Chester, 1904 and the importer"s mark B.M for Berthold Muller who was at this time the sole British agent for Neresheimer. Spoon was used as an individual's spoon to dip into punch - not like the long ladles used by the English.
Spoon measures 12 cm long and 4.5 cm wide at the bowl. TSW: 23g. Tiny stress mark in the stem which could be a weakness, otherwise very good condition.
