Amethyst, Gold & Seed Pearls Edwardian Pendant
This lovely 9ct gold Art Nouveau item dates from circa 1901-1910. It can be worn as a brooch or a pendant. When worn as a brooch, the bale fold behind the setting. Alternatively, it can be worn on a long chain, and attached to clothing at brooch height by the brooch pin leaving the chain to drape gracefully to one side in a “U” curve. Very fashion forward in Edwardian times. The item is stamped “9ct” to the rear. It has two pale amethysts as flower heads, surrounded by scrolls of tiny seed pearls, with an amethyst drop at the bottom. Item measures 5.4 cm total with the bale in play, and 2.7 cm wide. Excellent condition.
