Georgian Silver Berry Serving Spoon, 1806.
Very good sterling silver berry spoon with delicate mesh and flowers engraving to stem and finial, and the usual repoussé fruits, augmented by pretty engraving to the spoon bowl. Pineapple, pear, grapes, apple etc. Faint remains of the gilding to the bowl. Rear of rat-tail stem and finial is also decorated and contains the British hallmarks for London 1806, with a maker’s mark of T B in a rectangle - for Thomas Wilkes Barker of the Hatton Garden workshops, London. Serving spoon measures 22.5 cm long. The bowl measures 8 cm by 4.5 cm. Excellent condition. TSW: 65.7g.
