Relief Moulded Stoneware Jug, Victorian.
Old harvest-style jug, with moulded scenes of man smoking long pipe, windmill and miller's house, huntsman and dogs chasing a deer, and gleaner. It has been attributed to Brownhills Pottery, Tunstall, Staffordshire, England in A.W. Coysh's book of pottery, and is illustrated there as "Relief Moulded Jug". It dates at 1881. Brownhills were in busimess from 1872 to 1896, when they then became Salt Bros. Measurements: 13.5 cm high by about 12 cm diameter. Excellent perfect condition.
