Chinese embroideries on silk, birds, flowers, branches.  Peking knot stitch to the largest flower heads. Beautiful work, framed with damask borders to mounts and peach-coloured silk thin strips around the mount. Excellent condition. The frames are gold and bevelled - there are a few scratches but part of the age really. One has a broken hanging wire hook. One measures (framed) 29 cm by 27 cm, the other is 29.5 cm by 27.5 cm. The embroidered silk is 18 cm by 16 cm on one and 19 cm by 16.5 cm on the other. Very pretty, soft tones.
