Wedgwood mugs or tankards, designed by Keith Murray (New Zealand born) in his characteristic matt glaze with strong lines. Murray was a modernist designer, with a Deco influence and a clear simplicity. The mugs are very tactile, the green glaze is lightly stippled to the touch, and very sleek. Shaped base, stamped underneath with impressed Wedgwood mark, and "KM, Wedgwood, made in England".  One mug has an additional stamp inside the foot rim of "2WC40" and the other has "2CF41". Possibly this means they were made respectively in 1940 and 1941. Each mug is 10.5 cm high with a body 8.8 cm diameter. Excellent condition, no damage at all.
