Small Edwardian porcelain vase with decoration of hand painted maple leaf with gilded outline. Underneath the leaf is the faint remains of the word “Winnipeg”. This is very fine china, cream and high gloss, a little like Belleek. The cup has a tulip shape, with body embossing to rim and lip. Gilding around edges. I think this lovely little item is a night light or candle holder. It has gilding, and painted pink flowers and green wreaths. The clear glass chimney has white and gilt enamel dots on it. The funnel neck is 2.5 cm diameter, and the base is 6 cm diameter; height is 6 cm. A small amount of very minor scuffing to white paint, but really in excellent condition. |
