Early Napier, New Zealand, Souvenir Cup Item number: C5223 Date: circa 1900–1913 Price: NZ$29.00 An early Grafton China (A B Jones & Sons, England) souvenir cup for the town of Napier, in New Zealand. This is very fine china, cream and high gloss, a little like Belleek. The cup has a tulip shape, with body embossing to rim and lip. Gilding around edges. It carries the crest for Napier on one side — crest has wear to it. Maker’s mark is for the period 1900–1913. Very good condition — some wear to the gilding and the crest. There is a tiny little rough firing lump on the rim. |

Painted Glass Crested Souvenir Nightlight Item number: C5359-1 Date: late 19th to early 20th century Price: NZ$48.00 Pretty painted glass souvenir-ware bottle, with crest of Tenby. I think this lovely little item is a night light or candle holder. It has gilding, and painted pink flowers and green wreaths. The clear glass chimney has white and gilt enamel dots on it. The funnel neck is 2.5 cm diameter, and the base is 6 cm diameter; height is 6 cm. A small amount of very minor scuffing to white paint, but really in excellent condition. |
