Masonic Jewel, Keystone Chalcedony Fob, Royal Arch

Masonic jewel, early 20th century Masonic Royal Arch fob pendant. Made in chalcedony or could be white jade, in the keystone block shape with the letters “H.T.W.S.S.T.K.S” (Hiram, Tyrian, Widow’s Son, Sendeth to King Solomon) in circle. Other side has the keystone penny circle as photographed with triangle to centre. Bale is gold, but not hallmarked. Small repair to one corner of bale. Actual keystone measures 18 mm by 16 mm by 6 mm thick (about 3/4 inch by 5/8 inch by 1/4 inch). Bale is 15 mm long (5/8 inch). Excellent condition.

Silver and gold medal, given as an award for “Physical Culture” to Amy Greenall. (Engraved on the rear). 9ct rose gold overlaid onto sterling silver. Initials A.G. are engraved on shield at front. Maker is F.Hall Ltd, and the hallmark is for Birmingham, England, 1917. Medal measures 35 mm by 25 mm. Excellent condition.

Bronze religious medal with lovely unpolished patina. On one side is a Madonna and child, with the inscription around the edges: “Mater Cra (or Gar?) Patrona Perrariae. MDCCCLV” (The Roman numerals equate to 1855). On the reverse side is an angel with small figure and serpent in the background. Around the edges is: “Sancte Raphael Esto Memor Nostri.” and “A.R.” Medal measures 35 mm by 25 mm. Excellent condition.

Sterling silver pendant – actually a rank badge or badge of importance for a mid level official in the Kuomintang. Circa Chiang Kai-Shek. Stamped on the reverse Silver 925. Badge measures 23 mm diameter. Excellent condition. Needs a silver O ring on the bale at the top.
Brooch measures 26.5 mm diameter. Very good condition.

Tortoiseshell and Silver WWI Sweetheart Brooch

Circular tortoiseshell panel mounted in sterling silver, with the sterling silver cross/crest of the 16th County of London Regiment. Hallmarked London 1917, maker’s mark C & A. A soldier gave a brooch with his regimental crest to his sweetheart when he went off to war, this one being for WWI.
Brooch measures 26.5 mm diameter. Very good condition.

Bronze Athletic Medal, Cased, 1912

Beautifully detailed Mappin & Webb bronze medal, still in its original presentation case. The face is “Dover College Athletic Club” with heraldic shield. The rear has a laurel leaf around the engraved presentation area. Engraving reads “1912. A.V.A. Mercer. 1st. 1/2 Mile. (Under 16). 2 mins 27 secs.” Medal measures 45 mm diameter and 4 mm thick.
Excellent condition.
Box is in very good condition — base under medal is blue velvet. Lid is lined with cream silk, bearing the name of Mappin & Webb and their address in gold lettering.
