Masonic Jewel, Keystone Chalcedony Fob, Royal Arch Item number: 8847 Date: early part of 20th century Price: NZ$139.00 Masonic jewel, early 20th century Masonic Royal Arch fob pendant. Made in chalcedony or could be white jade, in the keystone block shape with the letters “H.T.W.S.S.T.K.S” (Hiram, Tyrian, Widow’s Son, Sendeth to King Solomon) in circle. Other side has the keystone penny circle as photographed with triangle to centre. Bale is gold, but not hallmarked. Small repair to one corner of bale. Actual keystone measures 18 mm by 16 mm by 6 mm thick (about 3/4 inch by 5/8 inch by 1/4 inch). Bale is 15 mm long (5/8 inch). Excellent condition. |

The face is “Dover College Athletic Club” with heraldic shield. The rear has a laurel leaf around the engraved presentation area. Engraving reads “1912. A.V.A. Mercer. 1st. 1/2 Mile. (Under 16). 2 mins 27 secs.” Medal measures 45 mm diameter and 4 mm thick. Excellent condition. Box is in very good condition — base under medal is blue velvet.
