Quite large sterling silver hair clasp – Scandinavian in origin, and stamped “Kop... (u or a – can’t read it) 925 S”. The design is a wavy snake, with head at one side and tail at other. Silver wire rings decorated the neck and tail. Arts and Crafts. Measures 8.6 cm wide (with the removable pin being a total of 11 cm wide), and 4.6 cm high (3.3/8 inches (and pin is 4.3/8 inches) by 1.3/4 inches). Excellent condition – very stylish.

Vintage enamel powder compact with lid decoration in marcasite with red crystals. Ivory–coloured enamel on white metal body. Still retains the hinged lid to the powder compartment inside, but has lost its filter and puff. Maker is Volupte, USA. Compact measures 74 mm square and 11 mm thick (just under 3 inches square by 7/16 inch thick). Some normal minor age wear to the corners or edges of the enamel. Otherwise very good condition. Very elegant.

Sterling silver boxed manicure set, brown velvet lined box with 6 items. Nail buffer, nail file (a bit crooked), little silver pot containing what was once probably chalk talcum to put on your nails before buffing them, cuticle shaper and cuticle cutter. Also a pair of scissors, but these are not original to the set, and are chromed steel. Hallmarks on the silver are for Birmingham, 1918. G & Co Ltd. (C.Griffiths & Co). All in very good condition, except the bent file as mentioned.

This little one measures 7.5 cm by 6.5 cm (3 inches by 2.1/2 inches). Just big enough for a lipstick and some money. Ladies would wear these at dances or social gatherings. Excellent condition.

English sterling silver Edwardian period manicure trio, hallmarked for Birmingham 1902. Maker’s mark: L & S. They each measure 12 cm long.
Note: The photo shows a long button hook, but this is not available. The items here for sale are the three smaller manicure items.
Very pretty handles with foliate scrolls, in excellent condition. Good Sheffield steel rods for the operative ends. The nail file even has an indented ridge on the sides of the blade for doing the tops of your nails. The steel has a little dark bloom in places, but is in very good condition. Very attractive set from 1902.

Hairbrush measures 23 cm long. One or two tiny minor marks in the silver sides, but otherwise excellent condition.
