Man’s Gold and Diamond Dress Ring with Valuation Item number: C12412 Date:late 20th century Price: NZ$2800.00 Lots of gold in this 9ct yellow gold man’s ring, set with a .30 carat diamond. Face of ring measures 23.5 mm by 16 mm. Total ring weight is 11.17 grams. Diamond is in central star grain setting, with a patterned frame leading into an integral tapered rounded shank with flared engraved fancy shoulders. Valuation comes with this ring. It describes the diamond as a round brilliant cut, estimated at 0.30 carats, with colour of E–F, and Clarity of S12. Make is very good. Nil fluorescence. Face of ring is very highly polished, and so shows a few minor marks, but excellent condition overall. The valuation is for retail sale and is for NZ$3100.00. An indemnity valuation would be considerably more than this. We offer it for sale for less than the retail sale value. |

Mans Ring, 9ct Gold and Fluorite Quartz Item number: 8748 Date: mid to later 20th century Price: NZ$210.00 Unusual man’s ring – mount is 9ct gold (stamped 9ct), and the stone is a pale domed cabochon of what could be either amethyst quartz or fluorite with darker trails and inclusions, and even some cavity marks and what look like (under my loupe) little tiny feathered seeds. Face of ring measures 18 mm by 14 mm (3/4 inch by 1/2 inch). Ring size is English U (USA size 10.1/4) with an internal diameter of 20.04 mm. There is a sizing mark inside the rear band, which slims down to 2 mm wide. There is a shallow small chip at rear of stone, and under magnification, you can see some of the marks in the rock on the surface also. Unusual, and in very good vintage condition. |

14ct Gold Emerald and Diamond Ring Item number: 8219 Date: mid 20th century Price: NZ$850.00 A very pretty 14 carat yellow and white gold ring, set with a central emerald flanked by 16 small grain set brilliant cut diamonds. The setting is cushion shaped, with the emerald in the centre of a star, flanked by four diamonds at each point. These points are surrounded by the other diamonds set around the perimeter of the star. The setting is filigree. The oval emerald measures 3.2 mm by 4 mm, and the diamonds are approx 0.0075ct each. The emerald is of good medium colour and brilliance. Ring is cast-made, total weight 2.4 grams. Ring fitting is English size N (equivalent USA size is 6½). In excellent condition, but one small diamond is missing (this is not an expensive repair to undertake). This ring comes with a valuation of $1,000.00 in its current condition, valuation was done in 2002, so good value against today—’s prices. |
