Very retro handbag, made in quality heavy brown suede with unusual brushed metal decorated top bar.  There is a label which reads "A Hermes product speaks for itself". This came off when we were taking photos, (it was glued) so is now inside the internal pocket. Nicely made, fabric fully lined, one internal pocket. Bag measures 24 cm high or 37 cm including the handle. Width is 25 cm at the base. It has gusseted sides. I have no idea if this is a real Hermès - it doesn't use the accent on the "e" and the logo is HP entwined, so I tend to think that it is a local brand - the bag came from England - just using the name.  I have seen other queries about this slogan label elsewhere in the web, so it is not uncommon. It looks like it dates from the 1960s or thereabouts. Still, a very nice bag.
